The Internship at CCVL
At a glance
As a graduate student you will spend one week working at the Science Center in Lagos, Portugal. You will be located at the facilitator’s virtual office under the supervision of Luís Azevedo Rodrigues, the Executive Director. Most of your possible activities will be related to Communicating science to the public, popularization of science concepts, and addressing hot topics and will be very practical-oriented. You will work in pairs on tasks from a list of options provided, or alternatively, you may design a task that is suitable for the organization and aligns with their goals and objectives.

A certificate of performance will be issued to each student upon successful submission of a portfolio of works. The portfolio will consist of works mostly performed by teams of students and should include:

Week 39: 25-29 September 2023 - Remote online internship at the Science Centre of Lagos, Portugal (CCVL).

A certificate of performance will be issued to each student upon successful submission of a portfolio of works. The portfolio will consist of works mostly performed by teams of students and should include:
- Cover. A one-page summary report of the different sessions.
- A descriptive memory of the different projects on paper or other media.
- Course evaluation and individual reflections on personal engagement, learnings, and the impact of experiences (obligatory, minimum 1 page).
Course Evaluations and End-term Student Feedback
We want to improve the remote internship and appreciate your continuous feedback.
- Daily feedback from students – Contact the instructors during or after each synchronous session or by email (optional).
- End-internship (obligatory)– a personal reflection by the students on the progress during the internship, possible improvements and on the personal impact of the participation (minimum 1 written page or alternative medium).
